Administrative HistoryStemster Estate lies in the parishes of Bower and Thurso. In the mid-1800s it was owned by Captain D. Henderson.
Stemster Mains Farm has been in the Coghill family since 1951. It is run by Donald Coghill and his three sons Robert, George, and Danny. The farm has always been home to a Cheviot flock.
