| Administrative History | Captain Ross settled in Wick in 1846 and married Janet Sinclair (died 1892). In 1886 aged 75 he sold his vessel and retired from the sea. His only son, Captain Hugh Ross, and one of his daughters, Mrs Watt of Lybster, both died in 1891. Robert Ross died 2 February 1902. |
