Date1902-1933
Administrative HistoryThe Caithness Field Club was established in March 1902, after a circular was sent to "a large number of gentlemen", inviting them to meet at the Carnegie Library, Wick. Sir Francis Barry of Keiss, John Rhind of Glasgow and John Robertson of Waverly House, Wick, were the honorary presidents; David R. Simpson was president. The society eventually disbanded in 1933 owing to lack of interest.
