Administrative HistoryThe Davidson family farmed Buckies, Old Hall, West Watten, and other farms in Caithness.
The Miller family lived at Scrabster House. Margaret Miller married James John Christian Davidson in 1906.
The Swanson family were tacksmen of Gerston, Halkirk. They also owned Gerston Distillery. George Swanson of Gerston was Captain of a Company of the First Battalion of the Rothsay and Caithness Fencibles, and Paymaster of the Regiment.
The three families are connected through marriage.
