| Administrative History | William Leith Bremner was born at Keiss 15 May 1835. Went to school first at Keiss, then at Canisbay Free Church School, where his uncle (George Leith) was headmaster. He was a pupil teacher at Wick Free Church School, then went to the Edinburgh Normal School. After a year at college he received an appointment in the Inland revenue and settled in Guildford, Surrey. He died 5 Nov 1868 in a bathing accident. |
