| Administrative History | The Edinburgh John O'Groat literary Society was founded in June 1922 and affiliated to the Edinburgh John O'Groat Association. Its objectives were to cultivate the literary tastes of the membership and to organise debates. It terminated in April 1975.
Caithness Agricultural Society was established in 1830 "To promote for the benefit of the public agriculture and rural industries in Caithness and in furtherance therof". The annual summer show has been a feature of Caithness life since this time. |
