| Administrative History | PC David McDonald was serving with the Leith Burgh Police Force in 1882 and was just 26 when he was murdered. His body was returned to Latheron for burial. Major John Charles Campbell received the VC, DSO and Bar and MC and was killed in Egypt in 1942 when his jeep overturned. Pte. John Sutherland MacKenzie served with the Gordon Highlanders and was killed in action in Malay in 1952 |
