Administrative HistoryFramed picture of Polish Naval Destroyer “ORP Piorun” the first Allied Naval vessel to locate and open fire upon the German battleship the “Bismarck”, signed by Polish veteran Richard Polanski who served on the battleship, and made his home in Caithness after the War. Richard was also given a copy of the same picture by the Sea Cadets.

The album was made by Richard Polanski’s daughter Evelyn Andrews (nee Polanska) and contains information and pictures about the “Piorun” and some information on Richard Polanski. A copy was given to the Wick Sea Cadets after a talk he gave to them about his life during the War.
