Christine MacKay was a school teacher, who in the 1930s taught at the school on Stroma. She went on to teach at Achreamie, Staxigoe, Bower, Pulteneytown Academy and Hillhead Primary, before retiring in 1972.
This scrapbook contains some articles she wrote for the John O’Groat Journal about her time on Stroma, as well as memories from her ex-students, collected recipes and photographs of Stroma taken in the 1990s showing how the Island (and in particular the school) were left. |
