| Administrative History | The Kingsmills House Hotel in Kingsmills, Inverness, was opened in 1947, using Kingsmills House, which had been built probably in the late 18th century as the family home of the Inglis family of Kingsmills. It became the Swallow Kingsmills Hotel in 1985 and in 2000, when the Swallow group was acquired by Whitbread PLC, owner of the Marriott franchise; it was refurbished and reopened as the Inverness Marriott hotel. |
