| Administrative History | Alexander Colin Urquhart (1898-1975) was born in Kyle of Lochalsh. He was the Divisional Veterinary Officer for the Ministry of Agriculture in Ross-shire at the time of the Ministry of Defence experiments with Anthrax on Gruinard Island (1942). These papers partially record the role that he played in the management of the subsequent outbreaks of the disease on mainland Scotland. |
