| Administrative History | The family history research takes as its starting point Grace Mckay Mackay and her husband Donald Mackay both of whom were born in Ross-shire, Scotland. They emigrated separately to Canada with their parents in the early part of the 19th century and married in 1831. Catherine C Mackay, one of their descendants, was born in Ontario and kept house for her father, Rev Angus Mackay (Free Church Kingussie), from 1936-1939. |
