Administrative History | Greig Street Bridge, Inverness, crosses the River Ness opposite Church Lane on the east bank to Greig Street on the west and is the largest of the town's suspension footbridges. Built, in 1881, by the Rose Street Foundry using the then-new technique of wire-rope suspension cables, the bridge was overhauled in 1990 by Bone Connel & Baxter Ltd. |
