The agent's name on the cover of the life assurance booklet is one John Mackenzie of said bank. The postcards, one of which is dated 1906, are addressed to members of the Souter family of "Commercial Bank House, Church Street". At that time, the Commercial Bank of Scotland offices and house were located at 67 Church Street. The agent at that time was a Mr James F Souter. |
