| Administrative History | The Royal Northern Infirmary opened in 1804 and, until the expansion of the Raigmore site during the 1980s, was the main hospital and school of nursing for the Highlands. It is now a GP led community hospital. This picture was taken on the Hospital's accession to the NHS in July 1948. |
