Administrative HistoryDonald Macintosh, born at Ballintuim, Dunlichity in 1814, was the first boy to be accepted into Inverness Royal Academy under the trust fund established by Capt. William Mackintosh of Farr. He taught at Drumnadrochit, where he met and married Catherine MacMillan, and later at Maud in Strathglass. Donald and Catherine's son, also Donald (1890-1937), resided for some time at Carnaby Lodge Dingwall and is credited with starting the Dingwall market.
