Administrative HistoryW. J. Wilson was a local businessman who ran a hairdresser at 87 Academy Street, Inverness, and was a Lance-Corporal in the Gordon Highlanders during the First World War. He was captured by German forces on 22nd March 1918 at the Battle of St. Quentin and was held in Rennbahn, Münster II (POW Camp), Germany until the end of the war. He returned to Inverness after the war and died in 1965.
