| Administrative History | Ann Dallas' parents were Donald Dallas, miller and Helen Gordon Dallas (maiden surname Alexander). They were both married on 4 February 1864 at Munlochy, Knockbain in the County of Ross. As a teenager, Ann Dallas was invited to live with her aunt and uncle (William and Ann Munro) in Wallasey, Cheshire. She married John Robert McCalpin, whom she met in Wallasey when he went to live there too. John McCalpin had been born in Canonbie, Dumfries. |
