Administrative HistoryThis firm seems to have been established in 1905 by David Ross and Alexander Fraser. David Ross practised as a solicitor and notary public in Inverness from 1895. He was secretary to the Inverness Chamber of Commerce, factor to Culloden Estates and was based initially at 6 Church Street and then 63 Church Street.
Alexander Fraser was a writer to the signet and notary public and began practising in Inverness in 1890. He was also clerk to the Heritors of Urqhuart and Petty.
Fraser and Ross, solicitors moved to premises at 46 High Street, Inverness in 1923 at which point Robert Wotherspoon had been taken on as a partner in the practice.
