| Administrative History | The National Association of Local Government Officers (NALGO) was formed in 1905. IN 1952 the association changed its name to the National and Local Government Officers' Association. In July 1993 NALGO merged with two other public service trade unions, the Confederation of Health Service Employees (COHSE) and the National Union of Public Employees (NUPE), to form UNISON. |
