Fraser was associated with the Bank for more than 50 years; he served as Provost and County Councillor, as a Justice of the Peace, and was a founder member of Inverness Free High Church - among much else. A copy of Fraser's obituary, published in the Inverness Courier of 20 October 1899, is held in the Archive office.
