| Administrative History | The Highland Post Office Advisory Committee was set up in 1986 under the provisions of the Post Office Act 1969 which also created the Post Office Users National Council (POUNC) and the Post Office Users Council for Scotland (POUCS). POUNC was replaced in 2001 with the creation of the Consumer Council for Postal Services (CCPS) under the Postal Services Act 2000 which was then part of a merger that created Customer Focus in 2008. The Highland POAC held its last meeting in 2001. |
