Administrative HistoryA substantial proportion of the records are the private papers of Norman Cranstoun MacLeod (1866-1945), third son of Robert MacLeod the fifth of Cadboll. Born at Invergordon, he was educated at Oxford and admitted to the Bar in 1926. Norman married Anna Auguste Morris (nee Daysh) in 1899; her private papers form another considerable part of these records. Most of the rest comprise papers of Norman and Anna's 3 children, especially those of Torquil (and his wife Eileen), Margaret and Lionel.
